INVASIVE SPECIES MANAGEMENT

Manage Northern Pacific Seastars, Wakame/Undaria, European Fan Worms & Green Shore Crabs

Help support endemic species from competing with the invasive threats in Port Phillip Bay.

Develop knowledge of what constitutes an “Invasive Species” when talking about the marine environment., and identify locally seen marine species which are considered “Invasive”, as well as helping to identify native species which may be accidentally misidentified.

Across a theory session and 2 dives, you will develop your practical knowledge of Invasive Species Management whilst diving, and plan, organize, and make dives aimed at managing local Invasive Species populations.
