The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.
As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Divemasters are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world – PADI.
Becoming a Diving Professional requires more intensive training than recreational courses, however the process can be broken down into 5 sub-sections:
Becoming a Professional Scuba Diver is a huge step. It doesn't matter how experienced you are as a diver, whether you are trained as a recreational Tech Diver, or if you have any previous professional sports experience - the transition from recreational scuba diver to PADI professional is an extensive and in-depth procedure. Turning the focus of your diving away from you, and on to the others who will be relying on you is not for everyone.
People become PADI Divemasters for a variety of reasons: some simply want to be the best diver they can be, where others have aspirations of becoming a PADI Instructor, while others still need the qualification for their future careers in commercial diving.
Whatever your reason for wanting to becoming a Professional Scuba Diver, Aquatic Adventures can help. Our experienced team have worked all over the world, and bring their wealth of experience to training the next generation of PADI Pros.
We don't just churn out cookie-cutter candidates, we tailor our training to fit you and your unique needs. There is no fixed schedule to a Divemaster course at Aquatic Adventures - we believe that part of becoming a professional is being able to organise your own time, and we expect you to do so.
Our standard Divemaster course is anything but "standard". We have developed a program designed to not only produce an excellent PADI professional, but also one who will be more knowledgeable, more useful to the Scuba Diving industry, and therefore more employable.
The course includes the following:
Please note: 4 students are required for the course to run
For many, the next stage after Divemaster is to become a PADI Assistant Instructor, or a fully fledged PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. However, for some, this is a step too far, and therefore our in-house Course Director has developed his "Advanced Divemaster" program to allow current DMs to upskill and offer more to their customers and dive centres, without taking part in an Instructor Development program.
This course teaches an existing Divemaster the following:
This training program is always run by our in-house Course Director.
Please note: 2 students are required for this program to run.
