A career as a PADI Professional is rewarding and exciting. There are very few avenues in life that allow you to combine your hobby with your work, and still provide you with unlimited options for changes in location, day-to-day tasks, and the people/creatures you interact with. Working as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor offers all of this and more!
Beyond Divemaster...
Good Divemasters are the backbone of the PADI Professional system. With our Advanced Divemaster training program, Aquatic Adventures already offers innovative options to help DMs progress beyond the standard role, however for many the lure of teaching your own courses is impossible to ignore.
We understand that drive - all of our Instructors (including our Owners) felt it, and it was what motivated us to progress in our PADI careers beyond the role of Divemaster.
Dive professionals who hold an instructor rating with another diver training organization may be eligible to enroll directly in the OWSI program. This recognizes prior instructor training and provides a path to become a PADI Instructor. You will need to speak directly to our professional development team to find out what the exact steps to crossing over would be.
A full set of your own personal Scuba Diving equipment is required to join a PADI Instructor Development course. If you do not own a full set of equipment, contact us to find out options and offers available to help you get the missing items and start your course.
We are fortunate at Aquatic Adventures to have a staff who have gained their experience as Instructors working all over the world.
We have used what we learned from our own careers to create an Instructor Development course that is designed to not only make you a great PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, but to also give you extra skills to help you stand out from and above other brand new Instructors.
All PADI Instructors work as independent contractors, and we believe that you should not be constrained within the framework of any single PADI centre. As a result we designed our Instructor Development programs so that you can truly work anywhere in the world, either for a dive centre, or as an independent instructor.
Our Course Director has developed new teaching modules, based upon PADI's latest instructional methodologies, and drawn from various national curriculums. These have been integrated into our Instructor Development programs to reflect the challenges and needs of our local temperate waters.
We also offer training in industry-essential skills, such as equipment servicing, tank inspection, gas blending, equipment sales training, and specialised workshops to help you grow your own Instructional business.
Our programs proved so popular that we started to receive requests to outsource our resources to other dive centres, both within Australia, and overseas. To keep things simpler for their candidates and ours, we added another entity to our group, AAA Scuba, focusing solely on Instructor Development:
