Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going. The SSI Navigation course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater.

During 2 scuba dives, you’ll practice:

• Methods to estimate distance underwater.
• Compass navigation while making at least five turns.
• Marking or relocating a submerged object from the surface.
• Underwater map making.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age is 10 years old.
• Minimum level of certification SSI Scuba Diver (or equivalent) is required to enrol in this course.
• Review the Medical Statement, which can be found here and if required, get a Diving Medical to ensure you are safe to dive.

Public course fee: $249 per person including GST. Minimum 3 participants.
