Includes three boat dives and stage cylinders.

Increase your confidence and abilities to deal with a situation where you find yourself on your own, or give yourself the ability to dive independently of your buddy. This is a perfect course for photographers and those who prefer solitude on their dives.

A pool/confined-water skills and equipment session is completed before the open-water training dives.

During the training dives and theory you will learn:

• How to plan dives based upon your SAC rate and equipment configuration.
• Stage cylinder management skills.
• Emergency situation management strategies.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age is 18 years old.
• Minimum level of certification SSI Diver Stress & Rescue (or equivalent) is required to enrol in this course.
• Must hold the following specialty diver ratings (or equivalent): Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility.
• Must have logged at least 75 open water dives, totalling 50 hours or more.
• Review the Medical Statement, which can be found here, and if required get a Diving Medical to ensure you are safe to dive.

Public course fee: $899 per person including GST. Minimum 4 participants.
