Advanced Open Water Diver
Build confidence with SSI Advanced Open Water Diver
Explore five specialty areas with close instructor support in local Victorian waters. The course includes Deep Diving and Navigation, plus Perfect Buoyancy, Night Diving and one Wreck or Drift dive selected for the conditions and applicable SSI standards.
Your Aquatic Adventures course
- $649 per person including GST; minimum four participants.
- Maximum student-to-professional ratio: 2:1.
- Typical plan: one evening and two days, with five dives in total.
- Normal dive mix: three shore dives and two boat dives.
- Student and instructor boat costs, tanks and weights are included.
Complete the assigned SSI digital learning before the practical training. Planned dates and dive selections may change for weather, conditions or safety.
Prerequisites and equipment
You must be at least 12 and hold an Open Water Diver certification or recognised equivalent. Training depth and activities remain subject to age, conditions and SSI standards.
Bring your own scuba equipment or arrange hire, including a dive computer. You also need a compass, slate, SMB and reel, cutting device and underwater torch. See our Gear Rental page and contact us to arrange what you need.
Complete the diver medical questionnaire and obtain medical clearance where required.
