OPEN WATER INSTRUCTOR
Instructor Training at Aquatic Adventures
A career as a SSI Professional is rewarding and exciting. There are very few avenues in life that allow you to combine your hobby with your work, and still provide you with unlimited options for changes in location, day-to-day tasks, and the people/creatures you interact with. Working as an SSI Scuba Diving Instructor offers all of this and more!
Beyond Divemaster...
Good Divemasters are the backbone of the professional scuba diving world. With our advanced Divemaster training program, Aquatic Adventures already offers innovative options to help DMs progress beyond the standard role, however for many the lure of teaching your own courses is impossible to ignore.
We understand that drive - all of our Instructors (including our Owners) felt it, and it was what motivated us to progress in our Scuba Diving careers beyond the role of Divemaster.
Why do your ITC with Aquatic Adventures?
We are fortunate at Aquatic Adventures to have a staff who have gained their experience as Instructors working all over the world.
We have used what we learned from our own careers to create an Instructor Training course that is designed to not only make you a great SSI Open Water Instructor, but to also give you extra skills to help you stand out from and above other brand new Instructors.
Our in-house Instructor Trainer has developed new teaching modules, based upon the latest instructional methodologies, and drawn from various national curriculums. These have been integrated into our Instructor Training programs to reflect the challenges and needs of our local temperate waters.
We also offer training in industry-essential skills, such as equipment servicing, tank inspection & hydrostatic testing, gas blending, equipment sales training, and specialised workshops to help you grow as an instructor and become an invaluable part of a dive business.
Crossovers
Dive professionals who hold an instructor rating with another diver training organization may be eligible to enroll directly in the OWI program. This recognizes prior instructor training and provides a path to become an SSI Instructor. You will need to speak directly to our professional development team to find out what the exact steps to crossing over would be.
