WRECK DIVING
The $899 package includes SSI Wreck Diving and SSI Advanced Wreck Diving, three boat dives, instructor boat costs and stage cylinders. Maximum student-to-professional ratio: 2:1.
Whether purpose-sunk for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life.
During four dives (1 shore based skill dive, and 3 boat dives) you’ll learn:
- Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks.
- Surveying and mapping a wreck.
- Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration.
- Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants.
A dry-land session covers specialist equipment and techniques before training dives in an overhead environment.
At Aquatic Adventures, our Wreck Diving program includes 2 certifications: SSI Wreck Diving & SSI Advanced Wreck Diving. Should you wish to only complete part of the program, please contact us to discuss options.
